Is L. Sporogenes better than other Probiotics such as L. Acidophilus?
L. acidophilus has been the probiotic of choice for several years. However, its effectiveness as a viable probiotic is uncertain. Some L. Acidophilus supplements claiming to have viable cells present in large numbers have only very low numbers. It has been reported that such preparations contain less than 1000 cells of viable bacteria against claims of billions. Unless genetically engineered many forms of L acidophilus in supplemental form have a hard time surviving storage. In addition they may not survive the gastric acid environment in our body. However L. Sporogenes has been proven to stay viable through storage and survive the gastric acid environment after consumption.
Why doesn’t L sporogenes need refrigeration?
L.Sporogenes is a unique Probiotic in that it is naturally microencapsulated. This means it can be stored at room temperature while remaining a viable probiotic through out its shelf life.
What are Electrolytes?
Electrolytes are needed to maintain proper fluid balance. Electrolytes are commonly found in sports drinks and contain sodium and potassium salts. Electrolytes replenish the body's water and electrolyte levels after dehydration caused by exercise, or after a day in the hot sun.
What are Antioxidants?
An Antioxidant is a molecule capable of slowing or preventing the oxidation of other molecules. Oxidation reactions can produce free radicals, which can damage cells. Low levels of antioxidants, can cause oxidative stress and may damage or kill cells. During exercise, oxygen consumption can increase by a factor of more than 10. This leads to a large increase in the production of oxidants and results in damage that contributes to muscular fatigue during and after exercise. Consuming fruits and vegetables rich in antioxidants is the best way to help slow and prevent oxidation and maintain good immune system health.
What are Bioflavanoids?
Bioflavonoids occur as pigments or color in plants, where they usually are found in close association with vitamin C. Bioflavonoids provide antioxidant protection to plants, helping them withstand harsh environmental conditions. They are also important to our optimal health, but can’t be manufactured by our bodies. Supplementing your diet with Vitamin C and Bioflavanoids as well as eating fruits and berries are the best ways to get the Antioxidant protection they provide.
